Sagiv Yehezkel had a successful start to his Yellow & Blue career as Maccabi picked up a 3:2 victory against Ironi Kiryat Shemona in first leg Toto Cup 1/4 Final action. Yehezkel, who played 70 minute assisted on Eden Ben Basat’s third goal and said at the end of the game:

“It’s a great opportunity to play but I’m still not at my best and I hope that I can get to play more minutes and take part in more matches. There may be some players who don’t give it their all in the Toto Cup and don’t give it too much importance. But for us it’s actually very important because it gives us the opportunity to show the coach what we’ve got and that we can also come in and play league matches as well. We get to train with some of the greatest footballers that have seen a ton in their careers. It’s fun to practice and learn from them. They can only help us.”

Another player who recorded 90 minutes against Kiryat Shemona was Eliel Peretz who added: “It’s always fun to get to play and it’s important to show the coach what we can do. It’s a bonus for us to play in the league and if not then we can play us in the Toto Cup.”
