History in Short

From his early beginnings as a footballer all the way to his retirement, Gadi Brumer was Yellow & Blue through and through. Along with his twin Alon, the Brumer’s are considered the most successful and famous footballing brothers in Israel.

The central defender was born in South Africa on November 5, 1973 and made his debut with the First Team against Hapoel Petach Tikva when Tzvika Rosen promoted Brumer from the Youth Club during the 1990/91 season. The following campaign he won his first league title under the tutelage of Avram Grant.

Brumer became one of the pillars of the Yellow & Blue’s Starting XI for more than a decade and his decorated career included some amazing accomplishments along the way. From a trial at Manchester United to the relationship with his brother Alon who had a serious injury along with the injuries he suffered himself, Gadi was a mainstay at the Club as he turned into one of the greatest players in Maccabi’s history.

Top Moment

The Yellow & Blue Israeli International central defender had plenty of fine moments in his career. From his goals against Russia and Brazil for the Blue & White to his spectacular play for Maccabi he will always be considered one of the greats, however his goal against Tenerife was perhaps the most famous of his career.
