Maccabi Tel Aviv FC is pleased to announce the appointment of Gadi Brumer as Academy Director. The 50-year-old former Maccabi player will leave his role at the IFA and return to the Academy he graduated from and the Club he made 373 appearances for between 1991-2004.

In the past 15 years Brumer has been working at the Israel Football Association coaching Israel’s young national sides at U16, U17 and U18 levels, guiding the U17’s to the European finals in 2017 for the first time after 13 years. 

Brumer, spent his entire playing career at Maccabi winning 10 trophies: 4 league titles (91/92, 94/95, 95/96, 02/03), 4 State Cups (93/94, 95/96, 00/01, 01/02) and 2 Toto Cups: (92/93, 98/99) is ranked 11th in the all-time appearance chart.

Brumer, who represented Israel’s national team 26 times, also took charge of the senior national side as caretaker for two friendly matches.
