Haris Medunjanin picked up 25% of the popular vote while Icelander Vidar Kjartansson took home 12% as he also scored a brace in the Derby.

The 2015/16 season is behind us and we’re already getting ready for the new season that’s opening up earlier than usual, but we certainly couldn’t finish up the campaign without you having the opportunity to vote for the player of the season. And you did it the way you know best.

The high voter turnout proved one point, that Eran Zahavi is overwhelmingly your player of the season taking home 64% of the popular vote. Gal Alberman finished in second place with 20% while winger Tal Ben Chaim ended in third with 11%.

40% of Maccabi FIRST Members voted for Ben Chaim to win April’s award. This was an impressive number considering the Captain, Eran Zahavi broke the league’s single season goal scoring record as he took 16% of the vote. Barak Itzhaki finished in 3rd place with 15%.
