U19 win league title
Maccabi Tel Aviv 'Shahar' win the U19 league title on the final day of the season in the most dramatic fashion with a 3-2 victory away to Maccabi Haifa. Dan Romann's side finished the season with 63 points ahead of second place Hapoel Tel Aviv on goal difference to win the U19 championship after 8 years.tay Zaafrani (3) put Maccabi in front with his 25th goal of the season before Haifa leveled the score through Omer Konchiorak (13). Eran Ginat (34) restored Maccabi’s lead while Konchiorak equalised again a minute later. Four minutes after the restart Rani Rival put Maccabi in front for the third time which proved to be the winning goal.

After the match Romann dedicated the championship to the Brickman family: “This championship is a result of a lot of hard work at the best youth department in Israel as these players worked under numerous coaches from a really young age. I would like to thank the club’s management for their massive support but above all dedicate this victory to the Brickman family as the team is named after Shahar Brickman who died several years ago but also for Gidon Brickman who passed away last month”.

Magor signs new three-year deal
Maccabi Tel Aviv is pleased to announce that 18-year-old midfielder Roey Magor has signed a new three-year contract, with an option to extend for a further two seasons.After joining Maccabi Tel Aviv Youth Academy at the age of 6, Magor has featured prominently over the past two seasons for Maccabi Tel Aviv ‘Shachar’ U19s, scoring 5 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions.
Afte signing his contract, Magor told the club’s official website: “I am proud to sign my first senior contract with the club where I have grown up since a young age. I will keep working hard in every training session and every match to achieve my ultimate dream – becoming a player in Maccabi’s senior side.”
At international level, Magor is a member of Israel’s Under-19 national team, where he scored 2 goals in 14 appearances, and has also scored 1 goal in 3 appearances with Israel’s U17’s.

Zandberg ends role as U19 coach
.Michael Zandberg will leave his role as the Head Coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv ‘Shahar’ after two years.
Zandberg, who guided the U19’s over the past two seasons to 7th place and to 2nd in the table respectively, said: “I would like to thank Maccabi Tel Aviv for the opportunity to work at the Youth Department over the past two years. I have grown both as a coach and as a person, and I had the privilege of working with professionals of the highest level for which I’m truly grateful for that. Wishing the club and the players lots of success moving forward, and maybe we’ll meet again in the future.”
Maccabi’s Technical Director, Dominic Price, added: “I would like to thank Michael for his work in developing our young players both on and off the pitch. We all wish him the best for the future.”

In a special project for this Holocaust Remembrance Day, players Ofir Davidzada, Idan Nachmias and Ido Shahar read texts that were written by Holocaust victims before they were murdered by the NazisSpecial project ahead of Holocaust Remembrance Day 2025: Several first team players including Ofir Davidzada, Idan Nachmias and Ido Shahar joined together in a remembrance project called “Their words, our commemoration” in which they read passages of text written by Jewish victims of the Holocaust who were murdered by the Nazis.
Ofir Davidzada reads part of the Exodus poem written by Benjamin Fondane after. He was arrested with his sister in March 1944 as the two siblings were deported to the Drancy camp. Despite having an option to be released, Fondane refused to be separated from his sister and was sent to Auschwitz – Birkenau where they were both murdered.
Idan Nachmias read from a farewell letter written by Srul Shaya Kalezyk that was found in the ruins of the Warsaw Ghetto in 1965.
Ido Shahar recited a passage from the diary of 16-year-old Yitskhok Rudashevski from Vilnius. Between June 1941 and April 1943, Rudashevski detailed the hardship of life in the Vilnius ghetto. He was shot dead in the Ponary massacre during the liquidation of the ghetto in September–October 1943
