Jordi Cruyff

Jordi Cruyff was appointed sports director at Maccabi Tel Aviv on April 4th, 2012 and joined the club immediately after the end of the 2011/12 season. His first decision as the club's sports director was to appoint Barcelona Youth Team head coach Oscar Garcia as first team head coach at Maccabi Tel Aviv. He began his playing career with FC Barcelona and enjoyed spells with Manchester United FC, RC Celta de Vigo, Deportivo Alaves, RCD Espanyol, Metalurh Dontesk and Valletta FC, as well as being capped nine times by the Netherlands. Over the past two years, Cruyff was the Director of Football at AEK Larnaca FC where, under his stewardship, the club became the first Cypriot side to qualify for the Europa League group stages. He joined Maccabi Tel Aviv on 13 April 2012.
