Yosef Zigdon, Maccabi Tel Aviv's fitness coach, joined the coaching staff under head coaches Ran Ben Shimon and Avi Nimni in the summer of 2008. Zigdon, originally from Haifa, came to Maccabi Tel Aviv after serving at various teams, including Hapoel Haifa and head coach Izzy Shratzky's Ironi Kiryat Shmona. Since his arrival at the team, Zigdon has been in charge, among other things, of the players' physical activities. In the summer of 2011, Yossi Kakun joined Zigdon on the physical training staff and until the former's departure in 2012 they together promoted the matter of physical fitness at the club.
