Maccabi to face the winner of Sarpsborg v HNK Rijeka in the Playoff Round should they advance

“We began preparing for Pyunik after the previous round against Radnicki and we had a few days to analyze and to obtain information. This is the most successful club in Armenia with the most titles and they have the same target every year. My coaching staff is ready for these two games. Our target is to win.”

Expectations for the match:
“Pyunik is a strong team with a group of players who work hard during the game. They also fight for every ball and play at a good level. There are a lot of players with quality on their squad and we are prepared for this.”

About Pyunik’s Head Coach Andrey Talalayev:
“I’m sure he’s one of the best coaches here in Armenia and he has experience from previous clubs as well. He’s certainly one of the best in the country.”

Target for tomorrow’s match:
“A victory for us would be satisfying. A victory is a victory and we came here to win the game. I expect that my players will be serious from the first to last second of the game in order to achieve tomorrow’s target.”

Concerned that Maccabi will make the same mistakes as the other clubs who lost to Pyunik:
“You can never be certain what the result of a football match will be. We can say what we want and what our target is which is to win the game and our general target is to advance to the next round. I don’t know what mistakes the previous coaches did as my interest is in my opponent and not the team that they played against. That’s how I prepare game by game.”
