Maccabi Tel Aviv FC reached an agreement with Hungarian side Gyori ETO FC for the transfer of Heitor Marinho dos Santos. The 25-year-old Brazilian defender successfully completed his medical at the Club and signed a 3-year-deal, with an option to extend by a further season.

Heitor (187 cm) helped Gyori finish fourth in the league table last season, making 27 appearances in all competitions since joining from Levadia Tallinn in the summer of 2024.

After signing his contract Heitor told the Club’s official website: “I am happy to be here and join Maccabi which is a great opportunity and a big step for me. I will work hard and do everything I possibly can, in order to help the team and the club reach its objectives.”

Heitor began his football journey at the Youth Academies of Paraná Soccer Technical Center and Porto Alegre-based club Gremio. He was part of the Gremio side that won the top-flight professional state league in Rio Grande do Sul (Campeonato Gaúcho) in 2020/21 and 2021/22.

In 2023, Heitor made his first move to Europe by joining Estonian club Levadia Tallinn. Over two seasons, Heitor made 50 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and helping the team to an Estonian League and cup double in 2024.
