Maccabi participated in the EUROPA League group or league phase in 11 of 17 seasons since the competition was introduced.
Maccabi’s best achievements in the Europa League was in the 2014 campaign (against Basel) and the 2021 season (against Shakhtar Donetsk), when the club advanced beyond the group stage to reach the Round of 32. In both of those seasons (2014 and 2021), Maccabi finished the group stage table in 2nd place out of four clubs, and earned 11 points out of a possible 18.

Maccabi played 90 matches in the Europa League: 48 matches in the qualifying rounds, 38 matches in the group stage and 4 matches in the Round of 32. Maccabi’s record currently stands on 43 victories, 32 defeats and 15 draws with a total goal tally of 128-112.
This will be Maccabi’s 7th season in the Europa League group stage (the most among Israeli clubs). This season, as in the last one, the group stage will be played in the new format: one large table with 8 Match Days.
Maccabi featured in the group stage during the seasons: 2011/12, 2013/14, 2016/17, 2017/18, 2020/21, and 2024/25 playing a total of 38 matches. The record in the group stages currently stands on 11 victories, 8 draws and 19 defeats with a total goal tally of 37-63.

So far, Maccabi faced in the group and league phases 21 different clubs from 17. Only Besiktas (2012, 2025) and Villarreal (2018, 2021) have played against Maccabi in the group stage in two different seasons. Maccabi played Danish side Midtjylland in the Europa League phase in the 2024/25 season and will play them this campaign once again.

Sheran Yeini is Maccabi’s appearance record in the Europe League with 22 matches. Eitan Tibi is 2nd with 21 appearances while Dor Peretz is 3rd with 20 appeaarnces.
Moussa Konate is the youngest player to represent Maccabi in the Europa League group stage as the Senegalese forward, featured in the 2011/12 campaign at the age of 18.5.
The oldest player to feature for Maccabi was Eran Zahavi, at the age 37 years and 3 months in last season’s campaign.

Out of 27 different players who scored for Maccabi, four players have each scored 3 goals: Dor Peretz, Eran Zahavi, Barak Itzhaki, and Dor Micha.
When hosting Europa League group stage matches in Israel, Maccabi played three campaigns at Bloomfield Stadium (2011/12, 2013/14, and 2020/21). In the 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons, Maccabi hosted matches atNetanya due to renovations at Bloomfield.
