Osher Davida was left to explain how Maccabi walked away from the match against FC Midtjylland with nothing.
“At this level, if you don’t score, you’re going to concede.”

Despite a solid performance, Maccabi still conceded three goals to a side that remained perfect in the league phase as Davida shared his thoughts on the difference between the two sides: “It doesn’t reflect it, but I think at this level, when you don’t score despite your chances, you’ll concede, that’s just how it is. If you don’t score, you’ll pay for it.
I’m very disappointed with this game. We already have European experience and we need to rise above it. We have five much tougher matches ahead, and we’ll try to give our maximum. Next year, we can’t just settle for compliments again.”

When asked what the team was missing tonight, he added: “We need to analyze it. We have to finish our chances much better and defend better. We’re missing that final touch, the little extra that makes a big difference.” Davida continued: “I think we competed well, like we always do. In the first half, we were the better team, and it’s hard for me to accept these losses when we play well. That has to change.”

Finally, the winger expressed appreciation to the hundreds of fans who accompanied the team to the match in Serbia: “It was an amazing feeling, usually it’s quiet, but today there was a great atmosphere. Thank you to everyone who came. It’s disappointing we couldn’t turn it into a win, but I’m very grateful to them and hope we’ll win the next games.”
