The players learned the basis over a very short period of time and it was a success which led to a one-sided contest. Raanana barely touched the ball. All in all this was a good match in which we were aggressive and held the advantage in every parameter. Our goal this season was to be a dominant team. I’m happy we scored some goals because we were missing that over the last few matches as we had missed a lot. The second half saw the pace slow up a bit and I made a number of substitutes who were able to come off of the bench and reignite the energy levels. I’m proud of the players and I hope that we can continue to score in the upcoming matches.”

מסיבת העיתונאים לאחר המשחק נגד בני יהודה

Thoughts on the game:

“It was an interesting game, but it wasn’t good for us. We are disappointed to lose. There were 5 goals, which is something we are not used too. We have what to work on. We weren’t focused enough and didn’t play our game.”

Thoughts on the team’s ability:

“We wanted to finish the season without a loss, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. We can learn a lot from this game.”

Thoughts on next season:

“I know exactly what we need for next season. We didn’t make any signings in January, but we are working hard to prepare for next season.”

On the players:

I want to praise the players. They worked hard the whole season and fought to change the result. Like I said, we lost focus a bit, and we will give our best for the rest of the season.”

A Maccabi win guaranteed Grant, Nimni, Zohar, Klinger, Driks, Shoham and Uvarov the title as the champagne flowed and the players took a lap around the Stadium with a flag. On the other side of the pitch Bnei Yehuda entered the contest after a fantastic season with Haim Revivo who scored the first goal of the match. How did it end? Watch:
