The Under-15’s are Champions
With one Matchday remaining in the season, Maccabi “Eldad” Tel Aviv secure the league title but defeating Hapoel Raanana 5:1 as they extended their lead atop the table to 4 points and won the championshipThe club’s Under-15 squad Maccabi “Eldad” Tel Aviv defeated Hapoel Ashkelon 5:1 to secure the league title on Matchday 29. Maccabi entered the day in first place with a 2 point lead over Maccabi Petah Tikva knowing the a win would guarantee them the title and keep the championship at Kiryat Shalom for the second season in a row.
Ori David’s squad are having a wonderful season this year with 23 wins, 4 draws and 2 lossses in 29 Matchdays. They’ve scored 91 goals and conceded 22 as the top scorers are Oral Bahia and Liad Ramot who each of scored 20 goals.
The squad has scored in 25 out of 29 contests and gave recorded 13 clean sheets, the average score stands that 3:1.
Head Coach Ori David summed up the club’s journey: “Just like last week, we played quality football as per the club’s philosophy. We were very focused to come in a win and we’ve now brought the championship back to Kiryat Shalom. We scored some nice goals thanks to the players hard work.
This season has been excellent and I had the privilege to work with players who want to succeed at Maccabi Tel Aviv. They are kids who understand the values of the club and this makes it all the easier to succeed. In addition, it’s also the amazing parents who support the club.
We saw this season that many players also took part in Under-16 league and Cup competitions to great success. On a personal level I feel that I’ve improved and advanced from in many areas both on a off of the pitch. I have an incredible staff that includes Boaz my assistant coach, Eliad the keeper coach as well as Gal, Meirav and of course Patrick and Raymond who invested in us all the way. I’m proud of the players.”

3 Youth Academy Representatives At UEFA Tournament
The Israel Under-16 National Team is participating in a UEFA tournament with Ireland, Ukraine and Figi. 3 representatives from the Youth Academy as participating in the competitionThe Israel Under-16 National Team is participating in a UEFA tournament with Ireland, Ukraine and Figi. 3 representatives from the Youth Academy as participating in the competition.
This past Monday the National Team began the tournament against the Irish National Team. Despite having a one goal lead Ireland mounted a comeback to take a 2:1 win. This morning Israel defeated Ukraine 2:0 and on Friday they will play Figi at 13:30 to end the competition.
The three Youth Academy members are from the Under-16 team and include Amit Kodman, Ener Oshmandi and Elad Kaplan.

Maccabi “Oded” Tel Aviv 1:1 Hapoel Tel Aviv (U17)
The Club’s Under-17 team drew 1:1 with Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Derby on Matchday 27 of league play. With 3 Matchdays remaining Head Coach Eliezer Ben Aharon’s Maccabi “Oded” Tel Aviv squad secured the league championship. With a 9 point lead over second place Maccabi Petah Tikva and a 35 goal differential the young Yellow & Blue have wrapped up the title. Ben Aharon summed up the club’s achievement: “This was a Derby where we were the stronger team in almost every parameter. Despite not winning it’s great that we wrapped up the title. This was one off the most challenging seasons for me as a coach and we have 3 matches left so I want to make sure that we end the campaign as best as possible.” Of the club’s 27 matches to date they have recorded 21 wins, 3 draws and 3 losses. The Yellow & Blue have scored 90 goals while conceding only 32. The leading goal scorer to date is striker Tal Torjman with 25 goals.

After defeating the Reds in State Cup semifinal action, the Under-16 squad fell in the Derby on Matchday 27 of league play. Eran Sassi’s side is in 3rd place, 5 points off the top of the table.

The Under-15 squad won the Derby on Matchday 28 of league action. Despite falling behind by a goal, the young Yellow & Blue scored four unanswered goals by Liad Ramot x2, Oral Bahia and Bar Lin to remain in first place with a 2 point lead. Head Coach Oro David summed up with win: “We came into the Derby after a loss to Ramat Gan which left us in first place but by only two points. The players understood the importance of the match and they played well and according to the philosophy pf the club. We performed well from the mental side of the contest after falling behind by a goal and we scored four markers. All in all I’m content and now we can turn our sights to our next match against Ashkelon.”

Matchday 27 Israel Youth Premier League: The Yellow & Blue fell to Ramat Hasharon on goals by Aviel Ben Hemo, Liat Salama and Guy LehrerMaccabi “Shachar” Tel Aviv, the club’s Under-19 side fell to Ramat Hasharon 3:0 on goals by Aviel Ben Hemo, Liat Salama and Guy Lehrer. Last match saw the two squads play to a 1:1 draw. The Yellow & Blue began the day in 2nd place behind first place Maccabi Petah Tikva by 3 points while their rivals were in 11th place.
Head Coach Guy Tzarfati’s Starting XI: Or Itzhak, Michael Chilaka, Ain Shtrozberg, Yoav Hofmayster, Dan Lugassi, Tamir Glezer, Ido Shahar, Omri Ram, Bar Cohen, Rave Assayag, Tal Yagudaev.
First Half
Maccabi controlled the pace of play early on and in the 13’ Yagudaev’s shot went over the goal but 3 minutes later Ramat Hasharon almost took the lead when Jeff Embriya’s chance went over keeper Itzhak but the ball hit the post as the shot stopper recovered to grab the ball off the line.
Ram sent Assayag a cross but he couldn’t control the ball as it went out and ten minutes later Lugassi sent a pass to Assayag but his header was saved by the Ramat Hasharon keeper. A double pass between Yagudaev and Shahar almost gave Maccabi the elad but the former’s opportunity went over the bar.
Second Half
An alert Itzhak made the save for Maccabi in the 48’ off of Shai Belhassen and two minutes later Maccabi’s Yagudaev sent a ball just over the goal. In the 54’ a short corner made it to Cohen but his shot was saved by Valkovich, however, 7 minutes later Ramat Hasharon took a 1:0 lead. Aviel Ben Hemo went one on one with the keeper and sent it begin Itzhak for the advantage.
Itzhak was again tested in the 66’ when he made a couple of saves in the box and 3 minutes later Eyal Hen’s chance for Maccabi missed the target. Ramat Hasharon took a 2 goal lead in the 77’ when Tomer Mahluf lost the ball and Liat Salama beat Itzhak for a 2:0 advantage.
Three minutes later Guy Lehrer added to Ramat Hasharon’s lead with their 3rd goal of the match on a counter attack as they wrapped up a 3:0 win over Maccabi “Shachar” Tel Aviv.

Into the Final: The Under-16 Team wins the Derby on penalties
The club’s Under-16 squad advanced to the State Cup Final after defeating Hapoel Tel Aviv on penalties (4:2). The score at full time was 1:1 as the Yellow & Blue will face Ahi Nazareth in the finalOn Wednesday, the Club’s Under-16 Team, Maccabi “Eli Fuchs” Tel Aviv advanced to the State Cup Final where they will play Ahi Nazareth after defeating Hapoel Tel Aviv in a penalty shootout 4:2. The score at full time was 1:1.
Eran Sassi’s squad controlled the pace of play and took the lead in the first half. However, despite maintaining possession throughout the second half, the Reds scored on a free kick five minutes until the end of regulation time to draw even.
The contest went to a penalty shootout after a goalless extra-time where Maccabi scored all 4 of their spot kicks while Hapoel missed once and had a kick saved by the Yellow & Blue keeper as Sassi’s charges took a 4:2 win.
The head coach Eran Sassi summed up the victory: “Our first half was a bit disorganized and we played from side to side. We didn’t have the control we would have liked. However, we were still dangerous and had numerous chances as we took a 1:0 lead at the break. Our goal in the second half was to control the pace of play with quality opportunities and we had a better half. But the players began to tire and we made a number of substitutes where we saw how well prepared they were after coming off of the bench. A few minutes before the end of the match we gave up a goal and both sides were couldn’t score in the extratime period. Thankfully we won the penalty shootout and I’m the happiest person in the world for the players as they deserved this win.”

Maccabi “Shlomo” Tel Aviv (U14 North) advanced to the State Cup final thanks to a 6:0 win over Hapoel Rishon Le’Zion at Ramat Gan StadiumToday, Wednesday, the Under-14 North Squad Maccabi “Shlomo” Tel Aviv advanced to the State Cup final after defeating Hapoel Rishon Le’Zion 6:0 at Ramat Gan Stadium.
Head Coach Adi Heber summed up the victory: “The draw handed us a semifinal clash against Hapoel Rishon Le’Zion. On paper the quality between the sides was evident. We prepared for the match through video sessions and training sessions where we were able to see how we could take advantage of our strengths against them.
From the very first seconds of the contest the players were able to do what they had prepared to the best of their abilities. We scored an early goal and had many chances where we scored a total of 6 markers. I’m happy as to the aggressiveness and fight we had for every ball and we didn’t allow our opponents a second of air throughout the match. I want to thank the players and my staff, Alon Peleg, Adi Somekh, Shai Hess and Robin Verheul. We will celebrate today and tomorrow we will begin our preparations for the next league game.”

Eran Sassi’s side advanced to the State Cup semifinals after defeating Beitar Tubruk 3:2. The Yellow & Blue made a dramatic comeback to take the win in injury timeThe Under-16 squad secured their place in the State Cup semifinals after a 3:2 win over Beitar Tubruk in a match that took place at the PenguinPickUp Training Ground at Kiryat Shalom.
Maccabi took a quick lead thanks to an own goal but near the end of the second half Tubruk scored a pair of goals to take a 2:1 advantage. The young Yellow & Blue drew even once again due to an own goal and in added time Amit Tzur, who came on as a substitute found the winner as Maccabi recorded the 3:2 win moved into the Stats Cup semifinals.
Head Coach Eran Sassi summed up the win: “We began the match well and had 3 good chances to score but we couldn’t fin the back of the goal. The misses gave motivation to our rival and they began to play more aggressive. We lost control of the match and were disorganized which they took advantage of. Despite being ahead 1:0 they scored two goals and went into the break down 2:1. We started the second half well and we made a number of substitutes that brought us some new energy which is what helped us win the game as Amit Tzur scored the decisive goal. I’m proud of the guys and how they showed character and desire especially coming back from a deficit.”

The U11 Team advances to the State Cup Final
Youth Academy State Cup Action: The Under-11 team defeated Maccabi Haifa 11:2 at Ramat Gan Stadium while the U9 side were eliminated in semifinal playMany of the Maccabi Tel Aviv Youth Academy teams participated in the State Cup Semifinals stage at the Ramat Gan Stadium. The Under-11 squad defeated Maccabi Haifa while the Under-9 teams (South and North) were eliminated by Maccabi Haifa and Maccabi Petah Tikva.
The matches at this age group were played with 7 players a side on a pitch that is split int9 two. The halves for the matches were 35 minutes a piece.

The Under-17 side headed to an away match at the Carmel Reds on Matchday 26 and came away with the 3-points thanks to goals by Yali Lazar and Niv Berkovic. The Yellow & Blue are in first place and hold a double digit lead. A win next Matchday will crown the U17 champions. Head Coach Eliezr Ben Aharon summed up the win: “Any match at Kiryat Haim is difficult not just because of the quality of the opponent but also the condition of the pitch. The players understood quickly that we couldn’t play our regular style of football and put in place out game plan from the very first minute. The instructions were to take the game to the Haifa side of the pitch quickly and force them to make mistakes close to their goal in order to get closer to the championship. I hope we can do the job next match, Derby.”

The Under-16 team won a dramatic match with ten men on Matchday 26. Eran Sassi’s side are in 2nd place just two points off the top of the table thanks to Rotem Grama’s free kick goal just two minutes until the end of the match. Head Coach Sassi summed up the encounter, “This was a match between two quality sides and began with a high pace of play. However, we had a player who was sent off in the 20’ which influenced our game plan. The players showed character and fight as we continued to create chances while making sure our opponent stayed at bay. The second half was almost like the first and the players tired over the last twenty minutes. All of the substitutes did a great job and gave strength to the team. Thankfully we scored a goal near the end of the match and we knew how to maintain the result until the final whistle. It’s important to note that Ofek Sasson a U15 player was in the starting XI, was fantastic throughout the match and didn’t make a mistake. He played a mature game with a lot of confidence.”

The U15 squad fell to Ramat Gan on Matchday 27. The Yellow & Blue were left with 9 players by the end of the match and are still in first place with a 2-point lead. Head Coach Ori David spoke about the match: “This was not a match where we saw a lot of football due to the poor pitch. We gave up a goal on a set piece and it was difficult for us to come back after having lost two players to red cards. Our sights are now on to the Derby which takes place in two weeks.”
