Beitar Jerusalem “Shmuel” – Maccabi “Eli Fuch” Tel Aviv
After a Derby win last Matchday, the Under-16 club fell to the table leaders in the capital city. The loss leaves the young Yellow & Blue in 5th place as Yishay Bozorgi scored the lone goal in the defeat. Head Coach Raymond Atteveld commented: “We had a solid first half and we defended well as Jerusalem was unable to break down our defensive line. We had some wonderful chances to score in the first half but we didn’t take advantage of them. Right after the break we gave up an easy tying goal and then we gave up another one due to an error on our part which ended up affecting our motivation. This was not a game we should have lost. We have to continue to work hard and improve our defensive game which is a problem we have seen in previous matches but that is one of the positive things we’ll take from the contest, We have to take advantage of the opportunities that we have. Now we’ll prepare for our upcoming matches.”

Maccabi “Ilan” Tel Aviv 2:0 Hapoel Hadera
The Under-15 North squad got back on the winning track as they defeated Hadera on Matchday 17. The win keeps the club in 4th place, 6 points off the top of the table. Kamil Jabara and Ben Lineker scored in the victory. Head Coach Asaf Heber summed up the match: “After last week’s hiccup we got back to the style that characterizes our play which is hard work on both sides of the pitch, aggressiveness and attacking the opponent when losing the ball. Following a goalless first half in wintery weather we were able to score a pair of goals that gave us the win. We’ll continue to work with the guys as we all have to invest a lot of hard work every match.”
