Maccabi Petah Tikva Championship Playoffs Ticket Sales
Maccabi Tel Aviv will visit Maccabi Petah Tikva at the Moshava Stadium on on Sunday May 14th at 20:15 on Matchday 35 of the Ligat Ha’Al. Tickets are now on sale and will be part of the New Points System. Come cheer on the Yellow & Blue!
Important! Season Ticket Holders will earn 2 points while non-season ticket holders will earn 1 point. When you purchase a ticket via the website, telephone or the Leaan Ticket Office, in order to accrue points, season ticket holders must complete the transaction with their season ticket number and non-season ticket holders via their User ID. When making the purchase please confirm your email and mobile phone number. Should the purchase not be done with your season ticket number or User ID, Points will not be accrued on your account.
Should you purchase a ticket and not attend the match, refunds are not available and Points will not be accrued to your account.

Ticket Collection
Tickets may be collected at the Leaan Ticket Office located at 101 Dizengoff Street between Sunday-Thursday 09:00-19:00, Friday 09:00-13:30.
Tickets may be collected on Matchday at the Stadium ticket windows beginning 3 hours prior to the match until 45 minutes after the start of the match.
Tibi & Lifshitz at the Mini-Mondial for Peace
The Herzliya Municipal Stadium hosted the Peres Center for Peace Mini Mondial on Tuesday where children from both the Jewish and Arab sectors came together for their pinnacle event of the season after training together all year long. Among the guests were Maccabi Tel Aviv players Eitan Tibi and Daniel Lifshitz who joined together with other players from across the Ligat Ha’Al for this special occasion
During the course of the exhibition match, Tibi played as a striker and also scored a goal. The central defender spoke to the Official Website about the experience: “I’m ready to play in this role. This was one of the few goals that I scored over the past four seasons. The event was a lot of fun and a great experience. It’s fantastic to see all of these children playing together and it’s an honor to be a part of this program. There were a number of good players and a few who were really superb. Who knows, maybe we will see them in the future.”
About his fitness after being out injured:
“I’ll see how I feel after the next match. I hope that everything will be ok.”
Lifshitz also gave his point of view about the activity:
“It’s a big honor to be a part of this project. To be able to do something good for these children and also support multiculturalism and co-existence is really important.”
The keeper also spoke about Tibi’s goal:
“His goal isn’t something to laugh at. Perhaps Vidigal has to take something from this match and change his role on the pitch.”
A group of teenagers from the Maccabi Tel Aviv Foundation also took part in the activity as referees for the children’s matches in the stadium and on their auxiliary pitches close by. The group of tenth graders came from the Gann Academy in Boston and Ironi Hei in Haifa who are currently participating in a week long Maccabi Sports Program through the Foundation. As part of their trip they enjoyed the Yellow & Blue’s 2:0 victory over Maccabi Haifa at Sammy Ofer Stadium, a tour of the Sport 5 Studios, met with Israeli Tennis prodigy Yishai Oliel and played tennis at the Israel Tennis Center in Jaffa. Of course, they participated in a training session at Kiryat Shalom as well.
In addition, the Ambassadors of China, Finland, Canada, Slovenia, Ireland and Lithuania were in attendance as well as representatives from USAID and the American, Australian, French, Belgium, Italian and British embassies. Local mayors and other district heads were also present including, Shimi Oliel from Kochav Yair, Mohamed Vated from Jatt, Tal Gorki of Pardesia, Taibe Mayor Shoa Mansour Masora, Herzliya Mayor Moshe Fadlon, Issa Jabber dean Abu Ghosh and Yigal Lahav the head of the Karnei Shomron District.
You Voted: Vidar Kjartansson HP April Goal of the Month
Following a month of no goals, Vidar Kjartansson began to score yet again and his marker against Hapoel Beer Sheva was voted as the HP April Goal of the Month thanks to a great team effort

Rikan: “We will do the maximum to finish this campaign off on a positive note”
Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Maccabi Haifa 2:0 at Sammy Ofer Stadium and one of the players who put in a quality performance for the Yellow & Blue was Avi Rikan. Number 22 played a more offensive role in the victory as he was in the right midfield position and Head Coach Lito Vidigal’s faith in him was rewarded by a goal and the pass that helped Vidar Kjaratansson find the back of the goal as well:
“I haven’t played this position recently, but it is one that is more natural for me. I like playing on the offensive side of the game and I’m happy that I was able to score and also assist on a goal. But most importantly we won the game and we all know that we still have another goal this season. We will do the maximum to finish this campaign off on a positive note despite the disappointment of not winning the league.”
About the season:
“A club like Maccabi Tel Aviv needs to come into every match with the desire to win no matter what has happened in the past. We all have this obligation and we showed that against Haifa and we will continue to show this over the upcoming matches.”
His personal performance:
“I’m training well every week and I hope and expect to play. That fact that I’ve been training well gave me the chance to play today and this is what I’ve done over the course of my whole career. I’ll also do this going into the future. I’ve played under many coaches and I have to continue my way in order to be the best that I can be and help my club.”
Future with the Club:
“I have a contract with Maccabi. I’ll do as much as I can to help the club and I can play in many different roles.”
Vidigal: “We needed players with character for this game”
Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Maccabi Haifa thanks to goals by Vidar Kjartansson and Avi Rikan who scored in favor of the Yellow & Blue at Sammy Ofer Stadium on Sunday night against the Greens. The Head Coach Lito Vidigal spoke about the win and it’s importance:
“I was pleased with the club’s performance. It was a good match against a tough opponent who is considered to be one of the big clubs in the league. This made the victory even that more important. I told the players that they know who they are playing against and that we need players with character to represent the team in this game. Otherwise it would be difficult to play against a team like Maccabi Haifa.”
About the State Cup Final at the end of the month:
“We have to continue to improve our performance right until the final. We may have won but I believe that we still have plenty to improve in our game. We have to look better. We had some really good minutes and what is important is that we won here in Haifa. Everyone gave their maximum. That’s very important to me. The overall picture looks good.”
Yossi Benayoun, the veteran Yellow & Blue midfielder who just celebrated his 37th birthday also spoke about the win over his former club: “This isn’t the first time that I played here with Maccabi Tel Aviv against Haifa and heard the boos. It also happened in the 2:2 draw in the second round. But when I’m on the pitch I totally block out everything else and I know exactly how to make sure to do the maximum. Sometimes in life things don’t end up like you had hoped. I had some great years at Maccabi Haifa but at the end of the day I believe that everything is from above. I came to an excellent place, I’m enjoying myself and that is what is most important in my opinion.”
His fitness:
“I am trying to do the maximum and run and enjoy myself and I hope that it continues like this. I’m really enjoying myself at Maccabi. From the first minute I arrived this is what I had expected. The moment I began to receive more of an opportunity I’ve been able to raise my game and I hope that I’ll continue to justify the credit I’m being given.”

Maccabi defeats Haifa 2:0 at Sammy Ofer
Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Maccabi Haifa in Matchday 34 of the Ligat Ha’Al Championship Playoffs thanks to two first half goals by Vidar Kjartansson and Avi Rikan.
Prematch
Head Coach Lito Vidigal Starting XI included a couple of players returning from injury in Eitan Tibi and Eli Dasa as they joined Captain Sheran Yeini and Tal Ben Haim on defense playing in front of Serbian keeper Predrag Rajikovic. Avi Rikan, Reuben Micael, Eyal Golasa and Yossi Benayoun played in the midfield while Tal Ben Chaim and Vidar Kjartansson provided the attack.
Available on the bench were keeper Daniel Lifshitz, Yuval Shpungin, Dor Micha, Aaron Schoenfeld, Ramon Roma, Gal Alberman and Eliel Peretz.
First Half
Maccabi came out flying to begin the match as Rikan’s scorcher was just parried to safety by Omri Glazer in the 3rd minute, however, just a minute later Kjartansson slotted the ball home behind the Greens keeper for a 1:0 Maccabi lead.
On the goal, Haifa defender Dekel Keinan was injured and needed to be substituted as Eyad Abu Abed came on in his stead. Eliran Atar tried to get his side back into the contest but his 14th minute effort went wide of the goal. Ben Chaim took an attempt on goal in the 23rd minute while Benayoun tried his luck two minutes later to no avail as Maccabi searched for a second goal.
But Haifa had two chances by Gila Vermouth and Amit Zaneti that almost caused trouble for the Maccabi keeper however, Rajikovic was able to keep the ball out of the goal in the 29th and 32nd minutes respectively. With the Yellow & Blue trying to locate that elusive second strike they found it via Avi Rikan who was playing a more forward role as he took the rebound from a Ben Chaim shot and slammed it home for the 2:0 lead.
Just before the break Kjaratansson’s free kick just missed the mark while Rajikovic picked up a yellow card for stalling as Maccabi tool the 2:0 advantage into the dressing room.
Second Half
Ben Chaim and Atar traded chances while Ben Haim picked up a yellow card and Eliel Peretz replaced Benayoun as Maccabi lulled Haifa to sleep early on in the second half. Dasa lifted a ball to Kjaratansson in the box in the 71st minute but the Icelander’s header just went over the bar.
American-Israeli striker Aaron Schoenfeld was introduced in the 78th minute in favor of Kjartansson as Yeini and Golasa each picked up yellow cards before Maccabi finished up a tidy 2:0 victory.
State Cup Final 2016/17 Ticket Sales
Maccabi Tel Aviv will look to take home the State Cup on May 25th at Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem at 20:30 when they take on Bnei Yehuda in the Final. Tickets will go on sale for 2016/17 Season Ticket holders on Monday May 8th at 19:00 until Friday May 12th at 12:00. Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning on Monday May 15th at 19:00.

The match is being handled by the Israel Football Association and they are responsible for the stadium ticket allocation.
Seats:
Maccabi Tel Aviv fans will be seated in the East and North Sections of Teddy Stadium.
Category 1: East and Silver Section (Sections 18-21) Reserved Seating
Category 2: North Section (Sections 10-17) Unreserved Seating. This will be the only section in which cheering Tifo will be allowed.

- Each Season Ticket may purchase one ticket only.
- Ticket Sales may be done via your account on the Leaan Website.
- Ticket Sales for the Silver Section is open for the Platinum, Silver and E+ Sections 2016/17 Season Ticket Holders.
- Anyone presenting a discounted tickets to enter the stadium will need to show proof that they are entitled to the discount (youth, soldier etc…) Any fan that is not entitled will be ejected from the stadium and will not be able to purchase a ticket at full price.
- Please make sure to buy tickets for the Maccabi Tel Aviv sections. The IFA has the right to eject a fan for sitting in the opposing club’s section.
It is recommended to collect the tickets in advance or Home Print them in order to save time on Matchday due to long lines at the Box Office. We also recommend that you purchase your tickets via the website site due to long waiting time on the phone. Please make certain that you have the correct information in order to enter the personal section of the website.
