For Maccabi Tel Aviv's away match tonight against Beitar, the Jerusalem Municipality will be offering Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters shuttle services to and from "Teddy" Stadium from the capital's Biblical Zoo. Israel Railway are also providing a special train service

20,000 spectators are expected to arrive to tonight's fixture between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Beitar Jerusalem at the capital's "Teddy" Stadium. The local club, assisted by the Jerusalem Municipality and Metropolitan Police, have organised free park and ride facilities for thousands of fans from two parking facilities, "HaLeum" and at the capital's Biblical Zoo. Arrangements have been made to make easier the flow of both local traffic and of the thousands of fans who will come to support and cheer on their favourite club. Here follow details concerning the free park and ride facilities at supporters' disposal:

Bus line 111 – Maccabi Tel Aviv fans – parking at the Biblical Zoo – parking and free transportation to and from "Teddy" Stadium

Bus line 222 – from "HaLeum" parking facility to "Teddy" Stadium (free parking and transportation)

The shuttles to the Stadium will commence at 6.30pm .

The return shuttles from the stadium to the parking facilities will begin directly following the end of the match and will continue until the last supporter has left the stadium. Both before and after the match, the Egged Bus Company will increase their service on lines arriving to the area of the stadium with a view to enabling supporters to get to and from the stadium safely and quickly. The Israeli Police will close Benbenishti St. to traffic in the direction from the Dov Yosef intersection towards the Malcha parking facility, requiring drivers to find alternative routes: The Golumb St. access and the Dov Yosef St. access. Bear in mind that in all cases heavy traffic is expected so the earlier you set out for the stadium the better.

Also bear in mind that no private vehicles will be allowed into the "Teddy" Stadium complex and that instructions by local police officers and traffic wardens are to be followed as given.

The services of the Jerusalem municipal telephone information number 106 and the municipal traffic authority will be expanded during the match to help in managing the flow of traffic and in answering calls from local residents and the many football supporters. The municipality will assist Beitar Jerusalem by providing municipal wardens who will help direct traffic and maintain order in the area of the stadium.

Special train service for Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters

At the club's request, Israel Railway will provide Maccabi fans with a special train that will leave the Jerusalem – Malcha railway station near the stadium at 11.30pm. If supporters are delayed in their departure from the stadium for security reasons, the train will wait until the last supporters have left the stadium. That way fans will be able to make their way comfortably and safely from the stadium and arrive at the station in time to catch the train. Israel Railway will also expand facilities for their rail service to Jerusalem arriving two hours before the beginning of the match. The rail journey will spare Maccabi fans the lengthy traffic jams and endless parking expeditions of a motor journey to the capital for a match that is expected to be a complete sellout. Supporters are urged to purchase a return ticket and save themselves both time and money. See details in the following article.
