The best way to get from point A to point B, from matchweek 1 to MTA's second consecutive Israeli Premier League title

Added time –  three times Maccabi scored winners at or after the end of official time: Rade Prica against Bnei Yehuda, Gal Alberman against Maccabi Haifa and (best of all) Eran Zahavi in the derby against Hapoel Tel Aviv.

Back-to-back – for only the second time since the establishment of the State of Israel, and for the first time in almost twenty years,  Maccabi Tel Aviv win the Israeli Premier League title two years on the trot.

January – striker Barak Badash and French-born defender Remi Mareval arrive at the club in the January transfer window and in their maiden appearances score both goals in a 0-2 win at Maccabi Petach Tikva.

Kiryat Eliezer – after just short of a decade, Maccabi Tel Aviv finally break the curse and beat Maccabi Haifa at their home stadium.

La France – In October, Maccabi book a first historic win in the group stages of the Europa League at French stalwarts Girondins de Bordeaux.

Metalist Kharkiv – the Ukrainian club whose suspension by UEFA from European play gave Maccabi a free pass to the Europa League group stage.

Nostalgia – nineteen years after winning a title in Beer Sheva, Maccabi do it all over again.

Omer Adam – popular singer whose songs became the soundtrack of the season, all the way to the title celebrations.

Prica – with 12 league strikes, Maccabi's Swedish striker Rade Prica becomes the league's leading foreign goalscorer.

Quick – in games against Hapoel Acre, Hapoel Ra'anana, Beitar Jerusalem and Hapoel Beer Sheva, Maccabi were on the scoresheet in the opening minute.

Rat-a-tat-tat – two hat-tricks, six braces and 29 league goals, Eran Zahavi's goal celebrations become the  symbol of the club's 2013/14 success.

Selfie – Eran Zahavi scores the first goal in the derby and rushes off to take a picture with his teammates.

Title trophy – last season it took 32 games, this year 33.

Unbeatable – not a single loss at Bloomfield Stadium all season, either in the league or in Europe.

Wassermill – the Hapoel Beer Sheva stadium where Maccabi lost their first league fixture of the season and won their championship match with three games to spare.

Yeini – team captain Sheran Yeini, only the second Maccabi captain since 1948 to hoist the Championship trophy in two consecutive seasons.

Zahavi – Eran Zahavi, Maccabi's Man For All Seasons, the league's most prolific and Maccabi's all-time single season goalscorer. What more is there to say?
