A brand new exclusive system has arrived at Kiryat Shalom. The Sports Science Department under the auspices of Dr. Antonio Dello Iaconno has engaged an Israeli startup, BlazePod.co to work in conjunction with the Sports Science Department which develops training sessions that improves players’ personal abilities.

The system provides visual stimulation which happens to be 80% of a football match. The idea behind the system is to provide similar scenarios for a specific player while giving him actual options that would exist in a match. The coaching staff operates the exercise through a smart system that is similar to an application. There are up to 20 LED lamps that are scattered on the pitch and are operated as needed.

Dr. Dello Iacono, the Director of the Sports Science Department spoke about the brand new system: “The connection between the world of science and football creates a brand new professional aspect. Technological advances provide tools for coaches, players and anyone involved in sports. With yet another pair of eyes, the coaching processes will be ultimately streamlined and contribute to creating a player profile for training. The current system helps us create player scenarios which are similar to actual match situations and that is managed by the training staff. The exercises can be created as needed and combine three elements: technical (with the ball), cognitive (decision-making according to the stimulation) and the physical element. This is a training exercise in which the weak points can be exposed so that the player can improve his skills according to his personal profile.”

The company’s CEO, Yaniv Schneiderman spoke about the system that is working in cooperation with the Club: “We are happy to work in conjunction with the professional staff of Maccabi Tel Aviv. BlazePod offers an interactive way to build training sessions while measuring player performance. This also makes the sessions an interesting and challenging experience. The system changes the rules of the game and allows for dynamic match situations while also measuring the player’s performance accurately. It also individually monitors the capabilities of the players providing the best results.”
