Questions & Answers Ahead of the 23rd Championship Celebrations

Why is there an entrance fee?
The Championship Celebrations will take place at Live Park which holds 15,000 people which requires us by Police instruction to distribute tickets. In order to ensure that those who order tickets attend a decision was made to charge a symbolic fee of 5 NIS with all of the proceeds going to the Maccabi Tel Aviv FC Foundation.

Will there be preference for Season Ticket Holders?
Season Ticket Holders will have until May 5th to purchase tickets with a limit of 5 tickets (The season ticket holder + 2 fans).

My friend bought a ticket to Section 1 and I’m in Section 2. Can we be together?
The sections are to ensure that the crowd is evenly disbursed. The Live Park is split up into 3 sections and each is limited for security purposes. Moving from one area to another is strictly prohibited.

Why isn’t the event being held in Tel Aviv?
Maccabi Tel Aviv’s Championship Celebration will be held the same week as the Eurovision Competition will be in Tel Aviv. As a result the price to hold an event in the city during this week would be very high and due could not be done due to the Financial Fair Play limitations. The club investigated numerous options outside of Tel Aviv and the best option for our fan base was Live Park in Rishon Le’Zion.

Why is the event beginning at 19:00?
We are expecting a very large crowd and the doors will open at 19:00 which is similar to the club’s matches/ We recommend to arrive early in order to secure your place and avoid long lines at the entrance.

Why not hold the event Saturday night following the match when the Championship will officially be awarded?
The match time has yet to be confirmed but even if the match begins at 18:00, the celebrations won’t begin in Tel Aviv or outside of Netanya until after 22:00.

Why not hold the event at another time?
The match against Maccabi Netanya on May 11th is the final home match of the season in which we can be officially awarded the Championship plate. Owner Mitch Goldhar will be attending both the match and the championship celebrations.

Why is the event being held the same time as the Basketball Derby?
Due to the restrictions we had on dates to hole the celebration as well as the fact that it’s an away basketball derby only a small number of fans that will be affected.

Why is the Championship Celebrations being held on Sefirat Ha’Omer?
The Omer period runs from Passover to Lag Ba’Omer. Due to the fact that the final home match is May 11th and the league ends on May 25th there was no choice but to hold the event as scheduled.
We are attentive and respect all our fans, but due to the situation at hand this is the only time that we could hold the championship celebrations.
